Our safari tours are a co-created adventure. We're like a close family for 13 days, cooking, pitching tents to offering mutual support.

Wild camping is the closest you can get to an authentic Namibian experience. Make sure to embrace being in nature without lots of amenities.

You have the chance to share driving the badass 4x4 rental cars (manual) or you relax and just be a passenger. 4 People join per car.

Leave your laptop behind at the coliving, embrace the fact that your phone won't have a signal most of the time. This change will help you recharge.

The tour is paid in Namibian Dollars by credit card. On the day of invoicing, the current daily exchange rate will be applied to convert the Namibian Dollar price to match the displayed Euro price. Therefore, variations in the final price are possible. All weekend getaways are booked and operated with Buschmann Safaris.

RENTAL CAR DETAILS

The rental cars are booked by the participants directly with the car rental company AfriCar. 4 People fit into one car. We need a minimum of 2 drivers per car, to make self-driving happen. If we are not able to fill one rental car with enough drivers, the 4 participants will join in the tour guide's safari car and camp in floor tents instead.

You will rent a Toyota Hilux 4x4 Double Cabin (manual transmission) for up to -4- passengers, air conditioning, radio, alarm, power steering, lockable canopy, and extra fuel tank.

Two spare wheels, 12V compressor, pressure gauge, towing rope, battery jumper leads, and Namibian road map. Includes camping equipment as follows: Two roof tents including folding mattress and sheet, sleeping bags, pillows, 12-V-fridge / freezer, -4- chairs, table lamp, shovel, storage box, and a water container. Insurance with a reduced excess of N$ 2,500.00 and unlimited mileage. No extra costs for a second driver. To take over any of our vehicles a valid identification document (ID/passport), any valid (national/international) driving license, a credit card, and a minimum age of -23- years are compulsory to secure the excess.

Choose to be

a driver

To secure your spot you need to pay a 30% deposit. The balance is due 60 days prior to the start. You will agree to the following terms and conditions of the operator Buchsmann Safaris.

You can choose to be one of the drivers in one of the rental cars or you choose to be only a passenger. The rental cars are manual Toyota Hilux 4x4.
